Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to lead the review, analysis, and optimization of business systems and processes. This role will work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders to align workflows with strategic business frameworks, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and value creation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the evaluation and reengineering of business processes to streamline operations and implement best practices.
- Utilize industry-standard methodologies for business process mapping and framework alignment to design optimized workflows that enhance cross-functional collaboration.
- Play a critical role in data governance initiatives, defining policies, standards, and practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance.
- Support the development of governance frameworks aligned with enterprise data strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define requirements for onboarding data into modern data platforms, ensuring integration supports analytics, reporting, and BI objectives.
- Produce comprehensive documentation detailing business requirements, process flows, and system functionalities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience; up to 4 years may substitute for education).
- Experience:
- 5 years as a Business Analyst in IT or technical environments, working with developers, architects, and data teams.
- 5 years designing and developing business process frameworks, including standardized models, workflows, and governance structures.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in business process development/reengineering, identifying inefficiencies and recommending technology-driven improvements.
- Familiarity with industry-standard business process mapping tools and methodologies.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, repeatable processes.
- 2 years working with utility providers (electric, water, etc.).
- 2 years analyzing raw data using tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI.
- 2 years working with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, Databricks) and understanding their role in analytics and BI.
- Working knowledge of data governance principles, including data quality, stewardship, and compliance best practices.
