Title: Staff Accountant

Reports To: Senior Accountant

Salary Range: $60,000 – $72,500

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Location: Oakdale, CA (On-site)

Position Overview

The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting functions with a focus on accuracy, organization, and timeliness. This role works closely with the Senior Accountant and plays a key part in maintaining financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and post general ledger journal entries
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
• Record expense allocations, accruals, and amortization entries
• Assist with month-end, year-end, and audit processes
• Support financial reporting and account analysis
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure accurate records
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues
• Contribute to process improvements and documentation
• Assist with special projects and additional accounting tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Early career experience or internship in accounting or finance is a plus

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
• Experience with general ledger activity and reconciliations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills and initiative
