Senior Project Accountant

We are seeking a well rounded Senior Project Accountant to support a major $120M project in Downer Cove. This role will be fully dedicated to a single 30-month project and will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions from start to finish. Following this project, the accountant will transition to additional large-scale projects within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary project accountant for a $120M project.
• Manage all accounting functions related to the assigned project, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee job costing, cash flow projections, and monthly billing.
• Prepare, review, and analyze WIP schedules, change orders, and billing documentation.
• Collaborate closely with project leadership and the central accounting team.
• Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and GAAP standards.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 5 years of project accounting experience within the construction industry.
• Proven experience preparing and reviewing WIP schedules.
• Willingness and ability to work fully onsite at the job site.
• Prior experience as the sole accounting lead for a large-scale construction project.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
