Audit Manager (Hybrid – Dunwoody, GA)

📍 Location: Dunwoody, GA (Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days remote)

🗓️ Target Start Date: ASAP, although flexible!

✈️ Travel: Regular in-state travel (GA & NC, ~1x/week)

Our client is a growing public accounting firm seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead government-focused audit engagements and manage a team of professionals. This is a hybrid role based in Dunwoody, GA, ideal for someone with strong technical skills, leadership experience, and a desire to make an impact in a collaborative environment.

🔍 What You’ll Do:

• Lead multiple audit engagements from planning through completion
• Supervise and mentor a team of 2 Senior Associates and 2 Junior Associates
• Ensure audits are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards
• Conduct weekly in-state travel (GA & NC) to client sites; overnight travel is rare (~1x/month, max 3 days)
• Communicate audit findings clearly to clients and those charged with governance
• Coach and support team development through ongoing feedback and training
• Report directly to the Audit Partner

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• 5 years of public accounting experience
• 2 years of experience managing or supervising audit teams
• Expertise in government audits and preparation of Government Financial Statements
• Strong understanding of GAAS, GASB, and GAAP
• CPA license required
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills
• Ability to travel locally, including during remote workdays
