Commercial Property Accountant - HYBRID SCHEDULE
A well-established real estate investment and management firm is seeking a Commercial Property Accountant to join its growing accounting team. The organization specializes in retail shopping centers and manages a large, diverse portfolio. You’ll be joining a collaborative and tenured accounting team within a stable organization, offering strong onboarding, ongoing support, and a culture that values connection through regular team events and social activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting for a portfolio of 6–9 retail shopping centers
- Prepare full-cycle financial statements during month-end close
- Perform CAM reconciliations and related analysis
- Review and interpret lease agreements (no abstracting required)
- Partner with property managers and ownership on budgeting, reporting, and issue resolution
- Handle ongoing financial analysis and ad hoc projects
Required:
- 3–5 years of commercial property accounting experience
- Retail real estate experience REQUIRED
- Experience with CAM reconciliations
- Familiarity with MRI or Yardi
- Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines
