What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telehandler Operator / Material Handler position at Talent Corps?
We are currently hiring an experienced Telehandler Operator for a large-scale data center construction project in Frederick, MD. This role requires a safety-focused individual who can efficiently operate equipment and support site operations when off the machine.
Location: Frederick, MD
Duration: 4–12 Month Assignment | Start ASAP
Hours: 6AM start, Monday - Friday - Overtime Available (up to 50hrs/week)
Key Responsibilities
Telehandler Operation:
- Operate telehandler (Lull) safely and efficiently on an active construction site
- Transport and place materials at various heights and in tight spaces
- Load and unload materials from trucks and designated areas
- Perform daily equipment checks and report any issues
- Follow all site safety regulations and protocols
Material Handling / Labor Duties (when off equipment):
- Assist with moving, staging, and organizing construction materials
- Support crews with general labor tasks across the job site
- Help with loading/unloading, site cleanup, and material distribution
- Assist site supervisors and trades as needed to keep workflow efficient
Requirements
- 2 years of telehandler (Lull) operating experience
- Experience working on commercial or data center construction sites preferred
- Strong understanding of job site safety and OSHA standards
- Ability to work both on equipment and as a hands-on laborer
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and at heights
- Reliable transportation
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (E-Verify)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Equipment Operator Certification preferred
