We are looking for an experienced forklift and telehandler operator with a strong background in structural steel. This role involves loading and offloading trucks, handling steel materials safely, and supporting yard operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and telehandlers to move structural steel safely and efficiently
- Load and offload flatbed trucks with accuracy and care
- Stage materials for fabrication, shipping, and installation
- Maintain organization in the yard and ensure materials are properly tracked
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any issues
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Work closely with yard and shop teams to meet deadlines
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating forklifts and telehandlers
- Direct experience handling structural steel (required)
- Ability to load trucks efficiently without damaging material
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced yard environment
- Reliable and punctual
- OSHA certification preferred
