We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Forklift Operator/labor for a short-term assignment in Sterling, VA. This position supports daily construction site operations with a strong focus on material handling, forklift operation, and general labor duties.
Job Details
- Short-term assignment (4-6 months)

- Outdoor/Indoor work environment
- Must have own PPE (hard hat, safety vest, boots, etc.)
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and skid steer and other material-handling equipment
- Move, load, unload, and stage gravel pallets and other construction materials
- Perform general labor tasks including site cleanup, debris removal, and material organization
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report safety or maintenance concerns
- Follow all OSHA and company safety policies
- Assist skilled trades as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members
Qualifications
- Valid forklift or skid stir certification
- Prior construction or general labor experience preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts in active and tight job site environments
- Strong understanding of construction site safety
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
