Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Drywall Hangers to join our team for a commercial office build-out project located on a U.S. military base. Candidates must be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a secure, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and hang drywall panels efficiently and accurately
- Install drywall on walls and ceilings according to blueprints and specifications
- Secure drywall to metal or wood framing using hand and power tools
- Ensure proper alignment, fit, and finish of all drywall installations
- Patch, trim, and smooth rough edges as needed
- Work collaboratively with other trades to meet project deadlines
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
- Follow all job site safety protocols and military base regulations
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (required for access to military base)
- Proven experience as a drywall hanger in commercial construction
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and drywall equipment
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality
- Ability to lift heavy materials (50 lbs) and work at heights
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site
- Ability to pass background checks and comply with base security requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on government or military projects
- Familiarity with metal stud framing and commercial construction practices
- OSHA certification (or willingness to obtain)
