Corporate Training Specialist – Safety-Care & CPR

Position Overview
The Corporate Training Specialist delivers instructor-led trainings, including Orientation, Safety Care, and CPR/First Aid, while ensuring staff competency and certification compliance. Reporting to the Learning & Development team, this role combines classroom instruction, hands-on coaching, and training record management to support a safe, skilled, and mission-driven workforce.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver impactful training: Facilitate Orientation, Safety Care, and CPR/First Aid trainings for groups of 10–28 staff, ensuring safe, consistent, and engaging instruction.
- Coach hands-on skill development: Demonstrate physical and behavioral techniques, supervise learner practice, and provide direct coaching to ensure competency in safety and emergency response procedures.
- Maintain training compliance: Track attendance, certifications, and completion records in LMS and credentialing systems to ensure staff remain current and compliant.
- Own training logistics: Prepare training rooms, set up equipment, and ensure materials and environments support effective learning.
- Communicate and collaborate: Partner with HR, Learning & Development, and program leadership to share training outcomes, certification status, and staff readiness.
- Adapt to changing training needs: Adjust schedules, locations, and training delivery as needed to support organizational priorities and workforce readiness.
What You’ll Bring
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience delivering training, coaching, or working in human services environments
- Ability to maintain Safety Care and CPR/First Aid instructor certifications
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom facilitation skills
- Ability to travel between Massachusetts training locations (15–25%)
Preferred:
- Experience delivering Safety Care, CPR, or crisis intervention training
- Experience using Learning Management Systems or training record platforms
Physical & Instructional Requirements
This is an active training role combining instruction and hands-on coaching:
- Stand and present: Approximately 60–70% of the training day
- Demonstrate and coach Safety-Care techniques: Approximately 40–50%
- Provide hands-on coaching and physical skill support: Approximately 40%
- Kneel, bend, and perform floor-based CPR instruction: Approximately 20–30%
- Lift and move training equipment up to 50 lbs occasionally
