One of our clients, Ready Education, is a higher-ed student engagement and campus experience platform used by universities to manage communication, student communities, events, and mobile campus apps.

They are seeking a hands-on Data Team Manager to lead the data architecture and technical vision required to support their transition from a services-oriented model to a product-driven platform and lead a small team of 2-3 data engineers (70% hands-on & 30% management).

Job Title: Data Team Manager

Location: Remote

Required Technology And Skills

  • 8 years of experience in data engineering and/or data architecture (5 years with relevant AI experience)
  • Managing multi-region data infrastructure (Datacenter in Europe)
  • Experience enabling AI/ML or GenAI systems through data architecture and/or Deploying AI-related data components into production
  • Familiar with data compliance frameworks (SOC2, FIPA, etc.)
  • Nice to have's: Snowflake, Apache Kafka, AWS ecosystem, B2C/B2B2C

Environment

  • Student data and user event data
  • Current data lake size: ~3 T
  • Growth rate: ~30 GB per month
  • Amazon Aurora on AWS with MySQL compatibility

Salary Range: $190,000-$220,000 base salary 20% Bonus (Based on experience)
