CNC Application Engineer

Our client is a global leader in manufacturing technology that specializes in innovative machine solutions that drive precision and efficiency. They are looking to hire a CNC Applications Engineer for their Chicago area office.

Job Title: CNC Application Engineer

Location: Schaumburg, IL

Required Skills

• 5 years of manufacturing experience ideally with tool and die
• Strong with CNC programming, G code and operation of 5 axis machining
• Strong with CAM software-Solidworks, MasterCam, AutoCad and Siemens NX
• Create manufacturing processes by developing cutting programs, tooling, and fixturing solutions
• Design and fabricate fixtures for demos and test cuts
• Act as primary liaison between customers and sales teams
• Knowledge of either Siemens controls or Fanuc
• Provide support in person and over the phone
• Attend trade shows for CNC Machines
• Set up and program CMM
• Set up CNC machines with programming, tooling and fixtures including 5 axis
• Ability to travel to customer sites
• Able to go onsite 5 days a week

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Compensation

• $125,000-140,000 depending on experience
