Groundskeeper - Part-Time
Classification: Non-Exempt
Type of Position: Part-Time, Seasonal
Closing Date: Continuous
Department: Hog Neck Golf Course
Salary: $15.00 Hourly
Position Reporting: Superindentent
Summary
Employees of Hog Neck will follow the instruction of the Golf Course Superintendent or the Assistant Superintendent (in the absence of the Superintendent). Must be able to operate golf course maintenance equipment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Mowing of greens, tees, fairways and roughs.
- Rake and maintain bunkers.
- Change flag positions.
- Operate seeders, aerators, blowers, tractors, trucks, carts spreaders, chainsaws, trimmers and other similar equipment.
- Remove trash and debris from grounds
- Perform related work, as required.
- Assist other members of staff as directed by supervisor.
- Other related duties as required
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to operate golf course maintenance equipment.
- Knowledge of the methods, techniques, and materials used in the care of a golf course.
- Skilled in the operation and light maintenance of golf course equipment.
- Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of grounds care equipment.
- Ability to understand oral and written instructions.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all associates and the general public
