Responsibilities
- Develop and implement departmental strategic goals, policies, and budget management
- Oversee and enhance clinical operations, ensuring high-quality care and patient access
- Expand subspecialty service offerings and improve patient satisfaction metrics
- Mentor faculty, medical residents, and students to promote academic and clinical growth
- Lead and support departmental research initiatives and scholarly activities
- Collaborate with institutional leadership on operational, clinical, and educational priorities
- Manage departmental staff and oversee administrative functions, with clinical responsibilities comprising approximately 20% of your time
- MD or DO degree
- Board certification in Internal Medicine
- Valid New York State Medical License, DEA, and Medicaid number
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a clinical or academic setting
- Proven success managing multidisciplinary teams and operational workflows
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and strategic planning skills
