National Account Manager

As we expand our team, we are seeking a driven and results-oriented National Account Manager to play a crucial role in our sales and business development efforts.

Based in the corporate office in Pendergrass, GA,  the National Account Manager will be responsible for cultivating existing national accounts and prospecting for new customers. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong sales acumen, and the ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders. Reporting to the Director of NA Sales and Marketing, the National Account Manager will contribute directly to achieving sales objectives and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

• Develop and execute sales strategies to grow existing national accounts and acquire new customers in alignment with company goals.
• Take ownership of budgeting, asset management, inventory audits, and collection activities related to national account sales.
• Manage and optimize relationships with national rental accounts to maximize market penetration and revenue.
• Effectively communicate with business executives, branch and regional managers, and stakeholders at the Takeuchi home office to ensure alignment and achievement of business objectives.
• Provide exceptional customer support to ensure long-term customer satisfaction and retention.

Skills:

• Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close deals with large national rental companies and contractors in the construction equipment industry.
• Demonstrated assertiveness, competitiveness, and entrepreneurial drive to achieve sales goals and execute company strategies.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to travel extensively and represent the company professionally in customer interactions.
• Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to navigate complex sales processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and general computer literacy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience or a strong interest in the construction equipment field, with a willingness to travel weekly.
• Valid Driver’s License and willingness to be a road warrior as needed.
• Highly professional, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic understanding or willingness to learn about construction equipment operations at a fundamental level.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
• Previous experience in sales or account management, particularly in the construction equipment industry, is advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
