Overview
Take2 is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Specialist to support a federal client on-site in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate is a versatile communicator with expertise in message development, stakeholder engagement, and multi-channel content creation. As a key player on the team, you will lead and support communications initiatives that advance the client’s mission, foster transparency, and promote organizational priorities.
Education & Certification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field. The candidate should have at least six years of relevant experience or a master’s degree with four or more years of relevant experience.
Clearance Requirements
A Public Trust clearance is required for this opportunity.
Onsite Requirements
This role is a hybrid opportunity based in Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities
- Develop key messages and content for communications deliverables.
- Create and maintain internal and external client communications including talking points, blogs, fact sheets, briefings, online content, announcements, brochures, white papers, presentations, and overview documents.
- Design graphic visualizations such as flyers, documents, and web features to meet client needs.
- Build and sustain trusting relationships with the client, understanding their priorities and providing strategic input.
- Coordinate scheduling, agendas, materials, participant lists, and action items for multiple working groups and councils.
- Facilitate client meetings, maintain meeting logistics, ensure timeliness, and follow up on action items.
- Develop and maintain organizational charts and stakeholder outreach matrices.
- Coordinate and track responses to requests from other government agencies.
- Lead and support communication efforts related to projects and initiatives.
- Compile, analyze, and present metrics using industry tools such as Cision, Sprout Social, and Google Analytics.
- Ensure solutions and deliverables adhere to organizational policies and procedures, demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.
Qualifications
- Six or more years of relevant experience in strategic communications or related field.
- Proven ability to develop and implement internal and external communication plans, strategic plans, and change management strategies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong customer service skills.
Desired Skills
