Overview
Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as a Solution Advisor providing Seamless Exchange expertise, knowledge, and support to the VA solution experts in the Solution Management mission area. The role involves translating Oracle Health capabilities to enable VA understanding, mentoring VA solution experts, reviewing and assisting with task orders and deliverables, analyzing workflows and requirements, and facilitating collaboration between multiple teams involved in VA's health IT modernization efforts.
Education & Certification Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Healthcare IT, computer science, electronics engineering, engineering, or a related technical field is required. An additional 10 years of experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

Responsibilities
- Support the VA EHRM program as a Solution Advisor with a focus on Seamless Exchange expertise.
- Assist solution experts with translating Oracle Health capabilities for VA comprehension and application.
- Guide and mentor VA solution experts to enhance their understanding of solution knowledge.
- Review and support Solution Management Administrators with task orders and deliverables to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Analyze current workflows and requirements to identify risks and pain points.
- Provide administrative, logistical, and programmatic support to Solution Teams, including facilitating collaboration among various stakeholders.
- Support informaticists with strategic planning, documentation, and additional support as needed.
- Create and execute testing and QA queries using CCL in DvDev.
- Help translate functional requirements for solution development.
- Track and update change request tickets within relevant ticketing systems.
- Coordinate Oracle Health activities to support scope and schedule management.
Qualifications
- Over 5 years of professional experience designing and developing software in healthcare or clinical environments.
- Extensive experience acting as a technical expert in systems integration, healthcare semantics, informatics, and multi-platform environments.
- Proven capability to independently manage projects and ensure completion.
- Experience performing feasibility analyses for future projects.
Desired Skills
- Prior VA experience or familiarity with VA health IT systems preferred.
- Experience implementing Electronic Health Records systems.
