Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Solutions Architect contractor with a strong background in data integration, cloud architecture, and financial systems to lead the design and implementation of a modern Finance data integration platform. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our client’s digital transformation within the Finance domain by delivering scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions that enable better decision-making and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and define the architecture for the finance data integration platform.
- Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of a cloud-native data solution leveraging Databricks, Azure, and other modern data tools.
- Ensure that the architecture adheres to organizational standards, technology policies, and best practices, providing guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
- Partner with data services, security, networking, and cloud platform teams to deploy and maintain the platform, utilizing Azure cloud services and supporting tools.
- Lead architectural review processes, including Technology Architecture Board meetings, especially for non-standard or new technologies.
- Document architectural decisions, solution designs, and standards consistently to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
- Guide and support development teams in adopting the platform and implementing best practices for data governance, security, and operational stability.
- Define and implement support and operational models for the platform to ensure ongoing performance and reliability.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve the architecture and delivery processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, especially on Azure, with relevant certifications a plus.
- Extensive experience with ETL, data ingestion, and transformation processes, including tools like Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud and Databricks.
- Strong knowledge of modern data architecture concepts including data lakes, event-driven architecture, containerization, and orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Java), data modeling, and automation practices.
- Proficiency in database management, including Oracle and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
- Experience with Kafka, REST APIs, managed file transfer, and data governance platforms like Collibra.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving project needs.
- Experience working within Agile development environments.
