Responsibilities
- Verify routine product conformance to design requirements.
- Provide objective evidence of inspection results.
- Conduct auditing, surveillance, and monitoring activities.
- Identify and document discrepancies in products or processes.
- Segregate and control non-conforming items.
- Perform preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance issues.
- Inspect incoming parts/materials and outgoing orders, verify certification accuracy, and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using micrometers, gauges, calipers, and indicators.
- Review and disposition certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 standards and company quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding inspection results and certifications.
- Ensure proper disposition and control of on-conforming products.
- Obtain and maintain Customer Designated Supplier Quality Representative Stamps for at least three customers, with active use of stamps required.
- Provide mentorship to team members involved in inspection activities.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of related work experience in QA inspection methods and procedures.
- Experience using calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator, and smart scope.
- Proficient in PC skills and Microsoft Office products, including Outlook and Excel.
- Must meet export control compliance requirements as a U.S. Person under 22 C.F.R. §120.15, including U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Desired Skills
- Previous aerospace inspection experience.
- Knowledge of AS9100 requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
- Familiarity with inspection techniques and standards.
