Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize cloud environments to meet capacity requirements and support business objectives.
- Deploy and configure workloads within AWS using Console, CLI, and scripting methods.
- Support strategic cloud initiatives, including TIC 3.0, Zero Trust Architectures, and DevSecOps, by providing architectural guidance and hands-on implementation.
- Collaborate with external teams to validate solution architecture and improve cloud security posture.
- Design, build, and support AWS environments using Infrastructure as Code tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.
- Support application migration from on-premises to cloud following agency governance standards.
- Monitor security alerts and implement upgrades or remediations to ensure environment security.
- Optimize cloud consumption and propose enterprise design improvements aligned with federal policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing cloud environments, specifically AWS.
- Demonstrated experience with deploying and configuring workloads in AWS through console, CLI, and scripting.
- Strong understanding of compute, network, and storage principles.
- Proficiency in managing large organizations with policies, configurations, and compliance standards.
- Experience with PrismaCloud platform and familiarity with Palo Alto services.
- Knowledge of cloud security services, including API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, and container services.
- Ability to automate processes using Terraform, CloudFormation, Packer, PowerShell, or Python.
- Experience managing AWS Public and GovCloud regions and using Control Tower.
Desired Skills
- Experience supporting security products in AWS for workload protection.
- Familiarity with FedRAMP services and best practices.
- Understanding of cloud orchestration tools and continuous delivery processes.
