Overview
Analyzes customer and system requirements to develop basic architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products. Develops high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications. Validates designs through various methods of review, testing, and analysis. Supports supplier management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services of limited scope. Provides engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product. Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
Education & Certification Requirements
A Bachelor's degree is required for this role.
Clearance Requirements
Although there are no clearance requirements prior to starting, candidates must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Onsite Requirements
This role is a remote opportunity. Work may be performed from anywhere within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Develop architectural and detailed specifications for electronic products based on customer and system requirements
- Create high-level and detailed design documents aligned with project specifications
- Validate designs through reviews, testing, and analysis procedures
- Track technical performance measures to monitor progress and ensure compliance
- Support supplier management with make/buy recommendations and technical services of limited scope
- Provide ongoing engineering support across the entire product lifecycle
- Investigate emerging technologies to generate concepts for future product designs
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering or related field
- Proven experience in integrated power design with power supply integration into hardware-in-the-loop systems
- Proficiency in cable and assembly wiring design
- Strong grounding system design knowledge
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with simulation and testing of electronic designs
- Experience with complex system integration and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for electrical design
