Inventory Associate

Job Summary

The Inventory Assistant is responsible for supporting inventory management activities, including receiving, tracking, storing, and issuing inventory items. This role ensures inventory accuracy, maintains organized stockrooms, and assists with inventory audits to support efficient business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming inventory shipments.
• Organize and store inventory in designated locations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and audits.
• Pick, pack, and prepare inventory for distribution or shipment.
• Label and track inventory items according to company procedures.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse or stockroom environment.
• Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure inventory accuracy.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous inventory, warehouse, stocking, or logistics experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and move inventory items as required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of inventory control procedures and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (or company-specific requirement).
• Ability to work in warehouse, retail, or production environments.
