Position Overview
The Lead Security Manager is responsible for overseeing all physical security operations across a rapidly growing, multi‑site environment. This role provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and hands‑on management of security personnel, access control systems, camera installations, and compliance programs. Key Responsibilities
Physical Security Leadership
- Direct and manage all physical security operations across multiple facilities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, and performance management of security personnel.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for leadership, customers, and external partners regarding security matters.
- Conduct regular site assessments to ensure consistent security posture across all locations.
Access Control & Surveillance Systems
- Lead the badge access and camera installation team, ensuring timely deployment, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Manage system configurations, access levels, and audit trails for all badge and access control systems.
- Oversee installation, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of surveillance systems.
- Coordinate with IT, facilities, and operations teams to ensure secure and reliable system performance.
Compliance & Contractor Management
- Administer and maintain the Certificate of Insurance (COI) and Non‑Disclosure Agreement (NDA) program for all onsite contractors and employees.
- Ensure all compliance documentation is collected, validated, stored, and monitored according to company standards.
- Partner with HR, Legal, and Operations to enforce compliance requirements and resolve discrepancies.
Customer & Leadership Engagement
- Represent the security function in leadership meetings, customer engagements, and operational planning sessions.
- Provide clear, concise, and professional communication—both written and verbal—on security posture, incidents, and recommendations.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients to support business growth and operational excellence.
Incident Response & Reporting
- Lead incident investigations, documentation, and follow‑up actions.
- Maintain accurate records of security events, system changes, and compliance activities.
- Develop and deliver regular security reports and metrics to leadership.
Qualifications
Required
- 5 years of experience in physical security, security operations, or related leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi‑site security operations.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams and contractors.
- Proficiency with badge access systems, surveillance platforms, and physical security technologies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred
- Experience developing security policies and operational procedures.
- Familiarity with COI, NDA, and contractor compliance programs.
- Prior experience in a customer‑facing or leadership advisory role.
- Certifications such as CPP, PSP, or similar (optional but beneficial).
