The Showroom Specialist is responsible for managing and organizing showroom samples, supporting customer meetings, and maintaining digital and physical showroom tools. This role ensures smooth showroom operations and contributes to effective brand presentation.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Showroom Merchandising & Event Support
- Plan and coordinate buying days (market weeks) in the showroom, including customer travel (flights, hotels, transportation), meeting schedules, catering, floral arrangements, and general showroom setup.
- Prepare and track samples for off-site use, including customer meetings, tradeshows, brand immersions, catalog shoots, and selling events.
- Collaborate with local and global brand teams to execute showroom merchandising, supporting storytelling for new collections.
- Troubleshoot showroom events, including visual updates, IT and digital tools support, fixtures, and lighting.
- Ensure organization, inventory management, and tracking of all samples to support the market week calendar.
- Coordinate meeting spaces for customer and internal team usage in collaboration with Asset Protection and Facilities teams.
- Clean and restore onsite and traveling sample sets to customer-ready condition.
- Complete quarterly sample recalls and inventory updates.
- Assist Account Managers, Product Teams, and Brand Managers with sales and marketing support projects.
- Travel to other showrooms or off-site locations as needed to support Sales and Events teams.
- Provide “Key Holder” responsibilities, including opening/closing offices and ensuring showroom security.
- Showroom Operations
- Work with corporate “Go to Market” and Sales Operations teams to order new collection samples in SAP and follow up on errors or missing SKUs.
- Monitor tracking visibility and coordinate with Italy on delays.
- Extract “Discontinuation” and “Consignment Inventory” reports from SAP.
- Create “Return Authorizations” in SAP and coordinate shipping of recalled samples to ATL distribution centers.
- Collaborate with Customs Compliance / Import-Export teams to execute shipments to and from Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS in Marketing, Business, or Sales preferred; Associate’s Degree minimum
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Advanced computer literacy: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- 2–3 years of merchandising and inventory management experience, including at least 1 year in a luxury showroom environment
- Ability to prioritize and manage additional responsibilities, including extended hours when necessary
- Highly organized, analytical, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
