Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, analyze, and negotiate a wide range of contractual documents in a compliant and thorough manner.
- Negotiate optimal contract terms while balancing risk exposure, business needs, and organizational guidelines.
- Exercise sound judgment and legal decision-making authority with minimal Legal group involvement.
- Advise and influence stakeholders and leadership on contractual terms, risk considerations, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to anticipate future needs and enhance contract processes, templates, and playbooks.
- Serve as a subject-matter resource by training or mentoring other contract managers; may provide supervisory support.
- Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives and special projects aligned with departmental goals.
- Deliver presentations to stakeholders and leadership to clarify contract purpose, processes, and areas of concern.
- Maintain accurate contract records and support audit requests as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Legal Studies, or a related field (JD preferred or equivalent experience).
- 10 years of relevant experience required
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and risk assessment skills.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer focus with proven ability to build effective internal and external partnerships.
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.
