Join TAI as a Process Mechanic and play a vital role in maintaining the heartbeat of a world-class biologics manufacturing facility. You will ensure the continuous operation of critical process and utility systems, from bioreactors and purification skids to clean steam networks, through high-level preventive and corrective maintenance. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply your technical expertise in mechanical, pipefitting, and plumbing trades within a precision-driven environment that supports life-saving production.

Here’s a Glimpse Into Your Day To Day

  • Possess appropriate knowledge (Level II) of process equipment such as bioreactors, centrifuges, purification processing skids, purification columns, glasswashers, and autoclaves.
  • Possess appropriate knowledge (Level II) of utility and facility equipment such as HVAC, refrigeration, boiler, chiller, cooling tower, pumps and drives, RODI, WFI, and clean steam systems.
  • Possess appropriate experience (Level II) as it relates to performing mechanical maintenance activities such as valve rebuilds (diaphragm, ball valves, gate valves, proportional control valves), pump rebuilds including seals (positive displacement, air pumps, peristaltic, and centrifugal pumps), agitator maintenance including seal replacements, motor pump replacement/alignment, and heat exchanger repairs.
  • Capable of performing work in the mechanical, pipefitting, or plumbing trades.
  • Complete any required (GxP) documentation.
  • Use basic hand tools.
  • Read, write, and utilize drawings, mathematics, and formulas.
  • Read mechanical schematics and piping diagrams P&IDs.
  • Perform work in a clean room environment.

You’ll Be a Perfect Fit If You Have

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree or certification from trade school is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as Maintenance Mechanic within related industry, such as power, chemical, food/beverage, pharmaceutical, and or life sciences.
  • Capable of performing work in the mechanical, pipefitting, or plumbing trades
  • Knowledge of servicing and installing mechanical process equipment within manufacturing or industrial site
  • Candidate must possess basic computer skills
  • Must have ability to communicate both orally and written in a clear manner

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position as necessary to complete assigned tasks.
  • The person in this position needs to frequently move about client’s facilities and offices to access equipment and complete tasks.
  • Consistently ascend and descend portable and fixed ladders, scaffolding and other equipment used to reach equipment at various levels of height some of which maybe in excess of 25 feet in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend a large quantity of stairways at any given time.
  • Frequently move tools and equipment weighing up to 50lbs across client facilities as needed to complete tasks.
  • Occasionally lift and move equipment in excess of 100lbs in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions as needed

Shifts

  • (2-2-3 Day 12 hr. shift) 5:45am - 5:45pm

Compensation And Benefits

  • Pay: $30-38/hour (Based upon experience)
