Here’s a Glimpse Into Your Day To Day
- Demonstrating safe work behaviors, complies with all safety rules, policies and procedures.
- Maintains timely compliance on all safety, health, environmental, and training initiatives.
- Reads and interprets manufacturer’s maintenance and instruction manuals to assist in proper installation and troubleshooting of electrical and Instrumentation equipment.
- Communicates effectively with co-workers, supervisors, other crafts, contractors, production groups, vendors, and OEM suppliers.
- Prepares and uses sketches, diagrams, blueprints, and other drawings.
- Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduits and raceways.
- Pulls wiring through conduit and other raceways.
- Maintains all cable and wiring.
- Maintains lighting and heat trace systems
- Disconnects, reconnects, installs, removes, troubleshoots, and generally maintains motor control, process control, burner control, and electrical distribution devices and Instrumentation systems.
- Maintains site electrical infrastructure and grounding system.
- Uses various test equipment such as current meters, multimeter, megger, ultrasound, data loggers, calibration meters and other test equipment to troubleshoot/maintain electrical and instrumentation process equipment integrity.
- Repairs faulty equipment or systems.
- Works with low, medium, and high voltage electrical distribution systems including transformers, primary and secondary switchgear, motor control equipment, fuses, breakers, and cabling.
- Reads and interprets various drawings such as, but not limited to: electrical schematics, conduit schedules, equipment drawings, control drawings, loop sheets, P&ID’s, etc.
- Performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance as required to maintain equipment in optimal condition.
- Performs meter readings.
- Understands the NFPA 70 NEC and NFPA 86, and can use the code books as reference.
- Maintains substation equipment
- Fabricates and terminates electrical/instrument panels, junction boxes, and cabinets
- Verifies proper fuse sizing, disconnect sizing, wiring sizing, and motor sizing per NEC and industry standard.
- Configures, sets up, and calibrates various pieces of equipment and instrumentation such as, but not limited to, PLC’s, variable frequency drives, power quality systems, overload devices, weight systems transmitter and others.
- Use electronic document management system (EDMS) to access policies, procedures, drawings, etc.
- Performs general housekeeping and maintains orderliness.
- Complete all training requirements and regulatory testing, and attend safety meetings as required.
- Supports Maintenance Excellence and Productivity initiatives.
- Assist in the work of other maintenance job groups as assigned.
- Participates in training initiatives to maintain and improve skills. Assists others with training initiatives as required. Completes required testing within specified time frames.
- Fosters team environment to ensure efficiency, productivity and profitability within scope of control.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or an equivalent combination of education and directly related on the job experience
- Minimum 5 yrs related experience in industrial setting.
- 1st Shift - 6:00 AM – 2:30PM
- 2nd Shift – 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Pay: $48.24-50.82 Hourly (depending on shift)
- Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable)
