Here’s a Glimpse Into Your Day To Day
- Complies with all safety rules, permits, policies, and procedures.
- Performs precision repairs to plant mechanical equipment and devices.
- Troubleshoots plant equipment, identifies equipment problems, and performs effective repairs.
- Performs preventive maintenance.
- Performs some predictive maintenance tasks.
- Disassembles and reassembles equipment to gain access to and remove and replace defective parts.
- Examines parts to detect imperfections.
- Evaluates used parts to identify changes to improve equipment performance.
- Installs, adjusts, and aligns machinery for maximum performance.
- Performs minor lubrication.
- Fabricates some new parts and will get parts when parts delivery is unavailable and work completion is time critical.
- Sets up and operate drill press, grinder, shop tools, hand tools, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Uses acetylene, plasma cutter, or other burning equipment
- Performs welding using stick, mig, tig, or other welding procedures
- Performs rigging of tools or equipment
- Fabricates and installs piping systems.
- Enters Confined Spaces to perform assigned work.
- Operates forklift, elevated work platforms, and other equipment necessary for the job.
- Maintains a high level of housekeeping in shops and work areas at all times.
- Reads and interprets drawings & sketches.
- Utilizes available technology to perform tasks in an efficient manner.
- Provides job feedback to foreman or leader as required.
- Supports Maintenance Excellence initiatives as required.
- Use computer and telecommunications devices including keyboards and other forms of data entry and retrieval.
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or an equivalent combination of education and directly related on the job experience
- Minimum 5 yrs related experience in industrial setting.
- Pay: $40.45 Hourly (depending on experience)
- Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable)
