Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as Math, Science, English, Social Studies, and Physical Education.
• Utilize educational technology to enhance learning experiences and accommodate different learning styles.
• Implement instructional modifications to support students with special education needs and diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Manage classroom responsibilities effectively, maintaining a positive environment conducive to learning and behavior management.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and school initiatives to ensure cohesive educational delivery.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and upcoming academic activities.
• Mentor students through academic advising, extracurricular activities such as sports coaching, and personal development opportunities.
• Maintain compliance with educational regulations and standards while fostering a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Integrate learning technology tools for instruction, assessment, and classroom management to enhance engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven high school teaching experience with a strong background in subject-specific knowledge such as Math (including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus), English (including Creative Writing), or Science.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to various learning styles and accommodate students with special education needs.
• Experience working with children and teenagers from diverse cultural backgrounds in classroom settings.
• Knowledge of curriculum development, implementation, and instructional modifications aligned with educational standards like AP style or Chicago Manual of Style where applicable.
• Strong communication skills for effective parent-teacher interactions and team collaboration.
• Classroom management expertise coupled with behavior management strategies that foster respectful student interactions.
• Familiarity with educational technology integration for lesson planning, assessment tools, and digital resources such as library services or learning platforms.
• Ability to mentor students academically and personally while supporting their childhood development goals.
• Experience working within private or public school environments is preferred; Montessori or other specialized educational approaches are a plus.

Pay: $65,527.00 - $123,506.00 per year
