Custodian - DH

Tahoe Donner Association is looking for a fun and personable Custodian to join our Downhill Ski Resort operations! The Custodian is responsible for keeping assigned areas in clean, orderly and safe condition using custodial equipment, cleaning supplies, and light maintenance activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Perform routine cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by the location Manager.
2. Use of appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the interior of the facility looking clean and professional.
3. Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces.
4. Dust and wet mops all floors in all areas and in restroom areas.
5. Dust, clean, and sanitize all counter tops, window ledges and horizontal surfaces in public areas and offices.
6. Ensure paper and soap dispensers are fully stocked and functional.
7. Clean glass surfaces and windows.
8. Clean and sanitize all sinks and toilet basins.
9. Monitor janitorial supply inventory, and orders, as needed per established procurement guidelines.
10. Maintain janitorial equipment and storage areas in a clean and organized fashion.
11. Empty and clean trash receptacles and collect recycling.
12. Report major damages and repairs to supervisor.
13. Performs other cleaning duties as needed and/or instructed by supervisor/manager.
14. Assists with snow removal including shoveling and clearing snow from walkways, equipment and other areas as necessary.

We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to take direction and work unsupervised.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid Certifications recommended
• Demonstrates excellent communication and “People” skills;
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays and busy periods
   

These skills and abilities are typically acquired through one month on the job training as a janitor or custodian; or an equivalent combination of formal training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform all of the duties of the position.

Salary : $24 - $33
