TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Pharmacist-in-Charge (Retail Pharmacy) in Fort Worth, TX for our client. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing, manage inventory, supervise staff, and maintain full compliance with Texas Board of Pharmacy regulations. You will also perform clinical verification, administer immunizations, prepare compounds, and utilize PioneerRx and MatchRx to support efficient workflows and high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities as the Pharmacist-in-Charge:
- Pharmacy Leadership: Supervise pharmacy staff, direct daily workflow, and maintain high standards of operational efficiency and performance.
- Medication Dispensing: Oversee prescription processing, clinical verification, and safe, accurate dispensing in accordance with professional standards.
- Inventory & Compliance: Manage inventory levels, ordering, expiration tracking, and recall processes while ensuring compliance with Texas Board of Pharmacy and ACHC requirements.
- Patient Care: Provide medication counseling, address patient concerns, and administer vaccinations in accordance with state guidelines.
- Clinical Support: Collaborate with prescribers, perform MTM services, and prepare compound medications to support optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications for the Pharmacist-in-Charge:
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (RPh) required.
- Licensure: Active Texas Pharmacist License required.
- Certification: Immunization certification required.
- Experience: 3 years of retail pharmacy experience with leadership, patient counseling, inventory management, and regulatory compliance, and community outreach experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with pharmacy systems such as PioneerRx and MatchRx, with strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, medication safety, compounding standards, and ACHC credentialing requirements.
- Skills & Attributes: Highly detail-oriented professional with strong integrity, excellent communication skills, a patient-centered mindset, and the ability to thrive in high-volume retail environments.
