Principal, Supplier Program Manager

We have an outstanding contract position for a Supplier Program Manager to join a leading Company located in the Rockford, IL surrounding area.

**US Citizenship is required**

The schedule for this role is 4/10s (Fri-Monday 5AM-3PM) and will move to 5/8s (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) when milestones are met.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage cross-functional team to focus on supplier relationship & performance.
• Facilitate supplier performance to the contract.
• Develop & execute supplier management strategies which strengthen the relationship, collaboration, & drive overall contract accountability.
• Identifying risks & opportunities.
• Tactical issue management & resolution.
• Accountable for overall cost, quality, schedule, & delivery.
• Prepare briefings & report on daily progress & escalate critical needs to enable success.
• Act as on-site focal for the coordination of all on-site or virtual activities.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• BS/BA and 8 years related experience OR Graduate Degree and 4 years related experience OR 15 years related experience.
• Ability to organize and drive complex actions with short-term and long-term objectives.
• Ability to collaborate accomplish goals (with Quality, Engineering, SCMM, Operations).
• Ability to concisely and collaboratively communicate.
• Operations or Supply Chain Background.

Desired Qualifications:

• Ideal candidates will have some Operations background with the ability to interrogate, identify, and resolve issues related to production schedules.
• Supply Chain experience in dealing with technically complex products in a highly regulated environment also a plus.
