Tact is seeking a Cloud Engineer for an NYC based start–up who is creating an AI‑driven software platform that helps organizations automate complex operational tasks and improve decision‑making by deploying autonomous agents that integrate with existing business systems.

Their main objective is to develop a stack design for scalable deployment across customer cloud environments. Your role is to make it a reality, with Terraform-first, secure, and observable infrastructure that can be launched in hours instead of weeks.

Responsibilities of the Cloud Engineer

• Design and codify standard infrastructure stacks.
• Build and maintain Terraform-based infrastructure across GCP, AWS, and Azure.
• Create reusable Terraform modules for VPCs, containers, datastores, queues, caches, secrets, and observability.
• Enable teams to spin up standard stacks in new environments with minimal manual steps.
• Implement cloud security best practices, IAM controls, and network segmentation.
• Deploy multi-tenant stacks into customer accounts safely and consistently.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure reliability and SLOs.
• Optimize costs through instance sizing, autoscaling, and storage improvement.

Requirements of the cloud Engineer:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years in cloud or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficient in Terraform or equivalent IaC for reusable, multi-module infrastructure.
• Familiar with containerization, orchestration, cloud networking, and CI/CD pipelines.
