Schedule: Wednesday – Sunday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Full Time)
Compensation: $19.00 – $24.00/hour, depending on experience
Benefits: Employee meals, Sick Time, Vacation Time (after one year), Matching Simple IRA contributions of (3%), College / Vo-Tech Tuition reimbursement program eligibility after 1 yr.

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician / Handyman plays a key role in the maintenance of the clubhouse, marina docks and outlying properties to ensure they remain safe, functional and welcoming for TYC members & guests. This is a hands on position that involves a variety of repairs, maintenance, and improvement projects throughout the year both inside and outdoors, with a focus on detail and high-quality workmanship. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, shows initiative, be proactive towards your work/projects and is comfortable shifting priorities as the needs of a busy club evolve throughout the day. We are looking for a team player, with a flexible and accepting mindset.
This position requires mobility across multiple large areas of the property, with interaction with club members & Guests.

Key Responsibilities
- Arrive per assigned schedule time frame (flexible work hours, subject to mutual agreement)
- Must be proactive towards all your work, be able to self-manage yourself, and any projects that have been assigned to you (routine or special projects)
- Must be able to operate all types of manual & battery powered hand tools safely
- Identify and safely correct minor and intermediate repairs to marine facilities
- Operate safely, when necessary, small vessels with outboard engines
- Identify, report, and respond to environmental contamination
- Complete small to medium size special projects as directed by the Facilities Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor
- Identify potential maintenance issues and report them to the maintenance team promptly
- Support event setups and take downs when required
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and safe at all times
- Strong problem-solving skills and not afraid to ask for help from maintenance team members
Qualifications
- General knowledge of maintenance techniques, basic plumbing, carpentry and small appliance repair
- Comfortable with some skill using variety of manual and battery powered tools
- Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions year around
- Strong communication skills — able to clearly receive, understand, and follow directions
- Reliable, punctual, proactive, self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Safety & PPE gear will be supplied
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting throughout the shift. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs and maneuver material and equipment safely.
