Taco Villa is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in our kitchen operations by preparing all food items daily, ensuring that every dish meets our high-quality standards and is made to specification by closely following our established recipes. If you are passionate about cooking and have a keen eye for detail, we would love to meet you!

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Prepare and cook food items daily, including but not limited to beans, meats, guacamole, salsa, and shredded cheese, according to our recipes.

• Follow recipes accurately without deviation to maintain quality and consistency.

• Accept constructive feedback on recipe execution and make adjustments as necessary.

• Effectively multi-task while preparing multiple dishes and ingredients.

• Adhere to all food safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.

• Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and supplies.

• Understand and correctly measure ingredients using various units of measurement (teaspoon, tablespoon, pint, cup).

• Stand for extended periods (4-6 hours) while performing kitchen duties.

• Lift heavy boxes and supplies, weighing up to 50 lbs., as required.

**Qualifications:**

• Prior experience in food preparation or cooking is preferred but not required.

• Ability to follow recipes with precision and accuracy.

• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Commitment to food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.

• Must be punctual and reliable in attendance.

• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.

• Willingness to take direction and learn new techniques as necessary.

**Physical Requirements:**

• Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods (4-6 hours without a break).

• Must be capable of lifting and carrying heavy boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
