What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep Cook position at Table 65, LLC?
We are open Tuesday thru Saturday. 7:30am serving till 8:00pm
The shifts for this position are 10am to 3pm, 3pm to 9pm or split shift will work too. at this time.
This position requires alcohol serving certification and Passing score with Big Four Food Safety. We will pay for the certification and one hour of time with a passing score.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meal preparation in a fast-paced environment. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for cooking, contributing to the overall efficiency of our food service operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Perform various kitchen tasks including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients with proper knife skills.
- Ensure all food items are properly stored, labeled, and handled according to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to prep for daily service and catering.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of food supplies and reporting shortages as needed.
- We typically schedule dishwasher during prime shifts but dishes are a part of the job.
Experience
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations within the food industry.
- Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable.
