Quality Control Manager (QCM) – Housing Maintenance Operations
Location: U.S. Coast Guard Training Center (TRACEN), Cape May, NJ
T47 is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-driven Quality Control Manager (QCM) to oversee quality assurance and compliance for housing maintenance operations at the USCG Training Center in Cape May, NJ. This role ensures that all maintenance activities meet federal, state, and local standards while upholding T47’s commitment to safety, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality assurance, health, and environmental safety inspections of housing and facilities maintenance operations
- Verify compliance with local, state, and federal requirements
- Inspect and evaluate materials, workmanship, installations, and system repairs
- Monitor and evaluate maintenance performance across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, grounds maintenance, and general contracting
- Use testing instruments and reporting methods to document findings
- Interpret engineering and architectural plans and specifications
- Communicate professionally with contractor teams, stakeholders, and agency representatives
- Provide clear written and verbal reporting to management
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in quality assurance, health, or environmental safety inspections related to facilities or housing maintenance
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance trades, including:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- HVAC
- Grounds maintenance
- General contracting
- Ability to:
- Read and interpret engineering and architectural plans
- Inspect construction, repair, and system installations
- Use testing instruments and inspection tools
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Must fluently read, write, speak, and understand English

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
