Position Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Painter to join our team. The Painter will be responsible for preparing, finishing, and maintaining interior and exterior surfaces on a variety of structures. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team on commercial, residential, and/or government properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, and priming as needed.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
• Patch drywall, fill cracks and holes, and repair minor surface damage before painting.
• Protect surfaces and surrounding areas using drop cloths and masking tape to ensure clean edges and prevent damage.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, and properly store paints, supplies, and equipment.
• Read blueprints, drawings, or work orders to determine the appropriate color schemes, techniques, and materials.
• Mix and match paints to ensure accurate color matching and uniform application.
• Follow safety procedures, including the proper use of ladders, scaffolding, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and site contacts.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a professional painter.
• Knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation methods, and material types.
• Ability to use painting tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or apprenticeship is a plus.
• Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $25.94
• Health & Welfare (H&W): $8.38 per hour
