Job Description:
T47 International is looking for a Part-Time Custodian to join our team supporting Rivanna Station in Charlottesville, VA. The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout assigned areas of the facility.
This position performs routine commercial cleaning, floor care, restroom sanitation, trash removal, and other custodial duties in accordance with established cleaning schedules and site requirements.
Pay: Starting at $17.75 per hour $5.09 Health & Welfare (H&W)
Job Type: Part-Time
Work Location: In person – Charlottesville, VA
Primary Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect offices, restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, hallways, and other assigned spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain hard-surface and carpeted floors.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
- Clean and sanitize restroom fixtures, sinks, toilets, mirrors, and other surfaces.
- Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other supplies.
- Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, windowsills, doors, and high-touch surfaces.
- Perform spot cleaning of walls, doors, glass, and other surfaces as needed.
- Respond promptly to spills and other immediate cleaning needs.
- Properly use, store, and maintain cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
- Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply shortages to supervision.
- Follow all applicable safety, security, and site-specific procedures.
- Complete assigned cleaning schedules and support periodic or special cleaning requirements as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and follow established cleaning procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and time-management skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical cleaning duties throughout the scheduled shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as required.
- Ability to safely operate standard custodial equipment.
- Must be able to successfully complete any required background or security screening.
- Must be available to work the assigned part-time schedule.
