Summary
As a Janitorial Worker/Custodian, you will be essential in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our facilities. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, your core responsibilities include commercial cleaning, floor care, and general custodial duties. Your expertise in janitorial and custodial practices will ensure high standards of cleanliness. Additionally, your premium skills in maintenance and buffing, along with relevant experience in industrial cleaning and facilities maintenance, will enhance the overall functionality of our spaces. Pay: $22.52 per hour and $6.00 H&W
Hours: Mon-Fri, Weekends as needed
Responsibilities:
-Sweep, scrub and mop floors in rooms, halls, stairways and public areas.
-Empty and clean pencil sharpeners, waste receptacles and cigarette urns; cleans and fills dispensers in restrooms; clean windows, walls, doors and floors.
-Empty and change trash liners in containers.
-Clean chalkboards and trays, furniture, desks, woodwork, fixtures, etc.
-Set up rooms, moves, and arrange furniture(s).
-Clean and wash sinks, shower stalls, and plumbing fixtures.
-Works in both an indoor and outdoor environment, and is subject to frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
-Strip, clean, vacuum, buff, wax floors and shampoo carpets.
-Lock and unlock doors to buildings; report malfunctions and unusual occurrences observed. -----Maintain, inspect equipment and tools used and report any malfunctions.
-Drives truck in delivering or picking up supplies or equipment if applicable. Orders custodial supplies.
-Must have the ability to work well with others and have a good/pleasant attitude.
-Performs other essential duties as assigned.
-Ability to effectively communicate and work with customers who may have complaints on services provided.
-Attendance is an essential job function. It is an essential function of the job that you report to work on time and work your scheduled hours.
-Observes proper safety, and OSHA regulations.
-Mix chemicals according to manufactures instructions.
-Monitor own quality of work to ensure contract specifications are met.
-Participate in company provided training programs to maintain and improve job skills.
-Maintain confidentiality of all confidential information and documents that you may have access to.
