What You'll Do
Collect blood and other specimens from patients of all ages
Perform venipunctures and finger-stick procedures accurately and efficiently
Conduct bedside specimen collections in a hospital setting
Label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing
Maintain accurate patient information and documentation within EMR systems
Follow all infection control, safety, and quality assurance procedures
Provide compassionate care while helping patients feel comfortable throughout the collection process
Required Qualifications
Formal training or certification in Phlebotomy
Strong venipuncture and finger-stick skills
Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Strong attention to detail and specimen accuracy
Knowledge of infection control and aseptic techniques
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of hospital (Acute Care) or bedside draw experience
Experience collecting specimens from pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
Familiarity with bleeding-time testing procedures
Experience maintaining quality-control documentation and logs
Outstanding bedside manner and patient-service skills
