We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Plumbing Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating plumbing costs, managing project budgets, and overseeing the successful execution of commercial plumbing projects. Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed plumbing estimates by reviewing blueprints, technical drawings, and construction documents using estimating software and construction management tools.
- Analyze material requirements, labor costs, and subcontractor bids to develop accurate project budgets.
- Utilize Bluebeam and other digital tools to interpret construction drawings and review plans for scope accuracy.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively through construction management software and spreadsheets.
- Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable pricing and contractual terms.
- Oversee cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure profitability and adherence to budgets.
- Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.
- Review contracts, change orders, and scope modifications while maintaining comprehensive documentation.
- Lead the estimation process for commercial construction projects, including material cost estimating and pricing strategies.
- Monitor project progress on-site to ensure estimates align with actual work performed while managing risks proactively.
Experience
- Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry.
- Strong background in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, Xactimate, and other estimating or construction management software tools.
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and reviewing construction plans.
- Demonstrated ability in cost management, material cost estimating, and estimating construction project budgets.
- Experience negotiating contracts and pricing with vendors and clients effectively.
- Familiarity with construction site operations, safety standards, and overall construction management practices.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
