We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Structural Steel Erector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing and assembling steel structures that are essential for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of blueprints and schematics, along with the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Utilize power tools and equipment, to cut, shape, and assemble steel components.
- Measure and mark materials using basic math skills to ensure precise cuts and fittings.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools are properly stored after use.
Requirements
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in using micrometers and other measuring tools.
- Familiarity with concrete installation techniques is a plus.
- Ability to operate power tools safely, including equipment for lifting heavy materials.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Previous experience in structural steel work or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
