Job Title: Assistant Manager in Training at Tailwaggers Pet Food and Supply

Wage: Starting at $21.5 per hour with the opportunity for an increase after applicable training periods and review. Our Assistant Managers make between $22 and $23 an hour after the training process.

Tailwaggers Pet Food and Supplies has been locally and independently owned since 2003. We take pride in being your friendly neighborhood pet supply store, pet-grooming salon, and doggy daycare! Our motto is Holistic, Healthy, Happy. We have 3 locations in Los Angeles, and are looking for remarkable candidates for an Assistant Manager in training position.

Based on experience, this position will need to complete our Associate and Keyholder training before promotion to Assistant Manager can be considered based on performance.

Qualifications:

• Extensive retail experience in a supervisor role
• Previous management experience
• Open availability for weekdays, weekends, AM or PM shifts, and holidays
• Pet industry experience preferred but not required
• Comfortable with dogs and pets of all sizes
• Thrives in a highpaced sales environment
• A proven track record of working with a team and leading by example
• Loves and is dedicated to pet health and wellness!

Assistant Managers at Tailwaggers work closely with and are mentored by our Location Managers and are a part of our Management team. Through ongoing (paid) training, successful Assistant Managers have a great opportunity to build their professional skills and grow with the company through possible promotional opportunities in the future. This role will require (paid) training in our Sales Associate and Keyholder roles before qualifying for consideration for the Assistant Manager position pending a Training Review and approval process.

Job Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be on your feet for long periods of time
• Comfortable working in noisy environments (around barking dogs!)
• Open work availability for days, evenings, weekdays, and weekends
