What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator position at T&D Excavating LLC?
Overview
We are a full service excavation company, that also offers snow removal services in the winter. We are located in Madison, NH and serve the surrounding towns in and near the Mount Washington Valley. We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a equipment operator/foreman. In this role, you will play a vital part in various excavation projects, assisting fellow team members and ensuring that work sites are safe and organized. This position requires attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Operating heavy equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Being mindful and practicing excellent safety habits at all times. This includes the use of company vehicles and equipment, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and being mindful of equipment in the area of work.
- Perform physical tasks at residential and commercial construction project sites.
- Example: Digging dirt using shovels and machinery.
- May dig trenches.
- Maintain a clean work space.
- Reading grades, lift and carry objects & materials of various weights.
- Ability to work as a part of a team.
- Demonstrates a willingness to take initiative to anticipate work and do what needs to be done.
- Regulate traffic as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
- Snow removal services, shoveling and snow blowing, plowing
Requirements
- Must have a Valid drivers license
- Must be able to obtain if you don't already currently hold a DOT Medical Card.
- Previous experience operating equipment is required.
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively within a team setting.
- Strong physical stamina; must be able to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
