Job Overview
We're hiring an experienced equipment operator with a strong background in running excavators for underground sewer, water, and septic installations and repairs. Must be able to perform precise trenching, grading, and digging around existing utilities, while working closely with ground crews to complete jobs safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators and loaders.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material transport to support ongoing construction activities.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members.
- Collaborate with supervisors and crew members to coordinate daily tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Proven ability to operate heavy machinery safely on construction sites with a focus on efficiency and precision.
- Knowledge of construction site safety standards and best practices for equipment operation.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on heavy machinery and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
