A stable and growing manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Systems Engineer to lead quality system improvement, resolve customer and manufacturing quality issues, and drive continuous improvement.

Job Description

🎯 Serve as a liaison between customers, operations, engineering, and quality to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Manage and improve ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems.
• Investigate complaints, returns, nonconformances, and internal quality issues.
• Lead root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvement.
• Support PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, DOE, and MSA activities.
• Lead/support internal, customer, external, and certification audits.
• Provide quality training and technical support to engineering and production teams.
• Use data and statistical analysis to reduce defects and improve process capability.

⭐ The ideal candidate takes ownership of the QMS, proactively identifies risks, and develops solutions that work on the production floor—not just on paper.

Job Requirements

🎓 Required

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of manufacturing quality engineering experience.
• 5 years working with manufacturing quality systems and IATF 16949.
• 3 years using statistical quality tools such as SPC, process capability, or DOE.
• 3 years supporting corrective actions, audits, customer quality, and continuous improvement.

💡 Preferred

• Minitab or similar statistical software experience.
• IATF auditing experience/certification.
• PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and Control Plan experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification or pursuit.
• Power Automate or similar automation experience.
