Position: HVAC Project Sales
Location: Fort Collins, CO 80524
Compensation: Base $85k-$90k (OTE 1st year: $150k-$250k, OTE tenured: $225k-$400k)
Summary: This role combines technical expertise in commercial HVAC systems with strong sales acumen to drive retrofit, upgrade, and large-scale project opportunities within an existing customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing commercial accounts (90% of prospecting within current customer base)
- Identify, develop, and close HVAC retrofit, upgrade, and complex project opportunities
- Conduct site surveys, assess system performance, and recommend solutions
- Develop and present compelling sales proposals, including ROI and lifecycle cost analysis
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and account management
- Collaborate with operations and project teams to ensure successful project execution
- Interpret building codes, standards, and system requirements to support solution development
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to determine equipment costs and lead times
- Create long-term asset replacement strategies aligned with industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE guidelines)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred
- 5–7 years of sales experience
- 5–7 years of experience with commercial HVAC systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical understanding of HVAC systems
- Knowledge of building codes and industry standards
- Valid driver’s license
