What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Therapist position at Syracuse Area Health?
We are seeking a Mental Health Therapist to independently provide assessments, treatment/care planning and psychosocial therapy in our Syracuse Clinic. This position would provide care for a diverse population of preventative, acute care, and chronic disease management patients to effectively provide linkage and advocacy to fulfill clients’ needs.
This is a full-time benefit eligible position, 40 hours per week during Syracuse clinic hours. Join a great team!
Qualifications:- Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Counseling, or related field; or a Doctorate degree in clinical psychology.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP, LIMHP), or Licensed Psychologist.
- 1-2 years of experience in a behavioral health setting
- Effective communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Experience with electronic medical records
- Provides patient care for all ages
