What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at Syracuse Area Health?
This position is responsible for the safe preparation and serving of healthy and nutritious meals for patients, visitors, and staff of Syracuse Area Health. Must ensure safe handling and storage of food items at all times. Prepares foods, maintains and cleans kitchen work areas, dishes, equipment, and utensils. Serves food to patients, staff, and visitors.
Shift: Evenings from 1:00pm to 8:00pm. Rotating Weekends.
Position is eligible for applicable shift differentials!
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent, must be at least 18 years of age
- Experience in the food services industry, Culinary/Hospitality A.A.S preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of safe food handling procedures, sanitation and cooking practices
- Self-motivated with excellent ability in working as a team
